Justin J. Lehmiller

I am a Research Fellow at The Kinsey Institute and author of the new book Tell Me What You Want: The Science of Sexual Desire and How It Can Help You Improve Your Sex Life. I also run a popular blog entitled Sex and Psychology that is designed to present the science of sex, love, and relationships to the public in an engaging and accessible way.

To date, I have published more than 40 scholarly works, including a textbook entitled The Psychology of Human Sexuality, which is used in college classrooms around the world. My current program of research focuses on the topics of sexual fantasy, consensually non-monogamous relationships, and casual sex. My research has appeared in all of the leading journals on human sexuality, including the Journal of Sex Research, Archives of Sexual Behavior, and The Journal of Sexual Medicine.

My research has been featured prominently in numerous media outlets, including the Huffington Post, Psychology Today, Men’s Health, The Globe and Mail, and The Sunday Times. I have also appeared on several episodes of the television program Taboo on the National Geographic Channel and am a frequent guest on programs such as HuffPost Live and RadioMD. I perform freelance writing for major publications, including Playboy, VICE, and other media outlets.

In addition, I work as a consultant for several major sexual health and wellness companies. I have also consulted on various legal cases and have served as an expert trial witness.
